365Daily – Miss Chioma Heritage Osademe, has been installed as ‘One-DAY Proprietress’ of Tombey College, Ketu, Lagos State, as a reward for excellence, by the school management.
The honour was bestowed on the young girl after she emerged winner of the Spelling Bee competition organized by school located at Number 11, Kolawole Eboda Street, Ketu, Lagos.
According to a statement by the school management, 20 contestants of the Spelling Bee competition got to Quarter finals, 10 contestants got to semi-finals and 5 finalists contested for the award in which Miss Osademe, the daughter of Pastor Godwin Osademe, a Redeemed Christian Church of God cleric, emerged as winner and took home prized gifts like books, electronic equipment and a one- day Proprietress position.
At the finals of the competition on the 30th day of June, 2021, Miss Oreoluwa Adebusuyi emerged as second runner up and Master Munachi Agu, the First runner up.
Miss Osadem’s emergence as a a-day proprietress of Tombey College was first of its kind in the school, which was designed to motivate the students and teach them the values of working hard in pursuit of excellence.
She was inaugurated as a Day Proprietress by the school proprietress, Mrs A. I Bejide on Friday, July 2, 2021.
She addressed the students to a rousing applause that punctuated her speech. She advised students to work hard because the twin factors of character and learning make a healthy academics.
One of the major highlights of the day was that in a funny switch of responsibilities, Miss Osademe had as her student the sitting proprietress, Mrs Bejide, retired education director, Lagos state and a seasoned educationist as her student in a mock classroom duty.
