Gov. Umahi loses another Commissioner in auto crash

365Daily – The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Infrastructure for concession, Engr. Fidelis Nweze, is dead.

The Commissioner allegedly passed on last Saturday, June 19, 2021, at an undisclosed hospital in Abuja due to injuries he sustained in an auto crash.

He served as the Commissioner for Works in the first tenure of Governor David Umahi between 2015 and 2019.

Nweze is reputed to be the man behind the many infrastructural development successes recorded in Ebonyi State in the last six years.

He was a strong ally of Governor David Umahi.

Umahi, who confirmed his death to Journalists on Tuesday, June 22, in Abakaliki, said that the accident took place in Enugu, but the Commissioner was rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Abuja where he went through a surgery but gave up the ghost afterwards.
