365Daily – Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo, a gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progress Congress (APC), in the November 2021 Anambra elections, has pledged to provide facilities that will lead to the growth and development of children and youths in the state if elected as Governor.

He made the vow in a statement issued on Thursday, May 27, 2021, to mark the Children’s Day.

The statement said: ”I reaffirm my commitment to creating a society that will prioritise the future of our children.

”This has been one of my motivating factor in offering myself for public service. My promise to every child today and their parents is: as your Governor, I will provide the educational infrastructure that will permit the growth of whatever talents or skills you have.

”I will provide greater access to healthcare and ensure at all times that minors are protected from molestations and any other forms of rights infringement.

”Our children are our pride and we ought to celebrate them daily by creating a future where their interest is best protected.

”Our Children are our heritage and our future. They are assets of immeasurable value, for whom we struggle to ensure we bequeath a future of value.

”Every 27th May is set aside as Children’s day. Some see the day only from childhood memories – march pass supported on well-rendered songs containing many clichés. But, Children’s day is beyond that, it allows us to reflect on what we are handing over to the future generation.

”Our children deserve the best of education, healthcare and opportunities to showcase their skills and talents. Sadly, this at the moment appear to be luxuries in our society and it should worry everyone.”
