365Daily – Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has declared the National President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Wabba, and other members of the union wanted.

He said it was based on their alleged involvement in economic sabotage and attacks on public infrastructure which are prohibited under the Miscellaneous Offences Act of the state.

The NLC and its affiliated unions on Monday, May 17, 2021, embarked on a 5-day warning strike in Kaduna State following the sacking of workers by the state government.

In response to the strike action, the Governor said same day that it will not make him change his mind on the sack of the workers.

On Tuesday, he followed up on his earlier position by declaring the NLC Chairman and others wanted.

He tweeted: ”Ayuba Wabba & others of @NLCHeadquarters declared wanted for economic sabotage & attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act. Anyone that knows where he is hiding should send a message to @MOJKaduna... KDSG. There will be a handsome reward!”

Wabba, while addressing civil servants in the state on Monday, had vowed to bring the El-Rufai administration to its knees until the decision on the sacked workers is reversed.
