Supreme Court Justice, Sylvester Ngwuta dies 24 days to his retirement

Hon Justice Syĺvester Nwali Ngwuta of the Supreme Court has died at the age of 69.

365Daily gathered that Ngwuta died early morning of Sunday in his sleep at his official residence in Abuja less than a month before his 70th birthday.

Ngwuta was said to be getting set for his retirement from the Supreme Court on March 30, 2021 upon attainment of the mandatory retirement age of 70. Which is exactly 24 days to the end of his career on the bench.

Justice Sylvester was born in 1951 Amofia-Ukawu, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Law from Obafemi Awolowo University and was called to the Nigerian bar in 1978 after he graduated from the Nigerian Law School.
