The Aviation Industry is set to welcome a new addition as the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted approval to United Nigeria Airlines to commence commercial operations in the country.
Owned by High Chief Obiora Okonkwo (Dikeora Idemili), the airline’s two aircrafts – Blessed Iwene Tansi and Our Mother Mary of Miracle – will begin with flights to the South East and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

It is operated by Private Airlines Services Ltd., a wholly Nigerian company incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act of 1990 at the Corporate Affairs Commission to offer commercial air transportation services under the registered tradename; United Nigeria, a statement on its website said.

The NCAA approval, granted February 1, 2021, with Air Operation Certificate (AOC) number UNA/AOC/01-21/001, was addressed to the United Nigeria Airlines at Plot C2A, Garden Avenue, GRA, Enugu.
It expires on January 31, 2023.
The certificate, signed by the Director General of the NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu, conveyed the Federal Government’s approval for the airline to operate scheduled and chartered operations in Nigeria.
“This certificate certifies that United Airlines Company Nigeria Limited is authorised to perform commercial air operations as attached in the attached operations specification in accordance with operations manual and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulation Part 9,” it stated.
