The management of a proposed Higher Ground Polytechnic located along Keffi-Kaduna Expressway at Jigwada, Nasarawa State, said it has completed all arrangement towards a successful take off of academic programmes before the end of this year.
They equally pledged to involve all capable Nigerians and foreigners in her educational activities with the view to achieving the best academic standard in the country.
In an exclusive interview with some selected journalists recently in his office at Keffi, the Chief Security Consultant to the polytechnic Mr. Ibrahim Babayo said, some of the major objectives of establishing the institution was to provide employment opportunities, ensure development in Nasarawa State and curtail insecurity challenges in the country to the barest minimum.
According to him, the polytechnic belongs to well-meaning Nigerians who want to ensure work harmony with other others, and collectively see that the country particularly Nasarawa states move ahead in all ramification.
“If you read the Nigeria Police Act 2020 as amended, it has allowed for the establishment of private detective colleges and we have invited Dr. Aderinto John Adegoke to seat with us to find a way forward to ensure that a special consideration is given to the private detective training programme.
“Admission forms will soon be on sale and will be affordable” the Chief Security consultant said.
On the rumor making rounds that there’s a court case on ownership of the polytechnic permanent site, he said, “You are journalist; I want you to make verification as regards the ownership in accordance with the Land Ownership Act of Nasarawa State.
On his part, the Registrar of the polytechnic, Dr. Aderinto John Adegoke, said Higher Ground Polytechnic has been legally registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission as well as with the National Board for Technical Education adding that the polytechnic is in her final stage of inspection from appropriate quarters.
