The Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, has tested negative for COVID-19, after being treated for the disease.
365Daily had earlier reported in December 2020 that the minister contracted the virus after she met with infected associates but was asymptomatic.
She said she was in self-isolation and was undergoing treatment.
But in a statement released on Monday in Abuja, Tallen appreciated the love and support showered on her by fellow Nigerian women during her treatment and urged the public to comply with all COVID-19 guidelines to be safe.
Tallen, who disclosed that she was declared negative of COVID-19 by her doctor on New Year Eve, rejoiced that she was part of the 2021 celebrations, and stressed the need for all to take responsibility for themselves and their families.
