It has been reported that rights activist, Omoyele Sowore alongside others were last night arrested by officers of the Nigeria Police Force along Gudu area of the Federal Capital Territory for holding a peaceful procession to mark the New Year.
According to SaharaReporters, Sowore also sustained injury before he and his cohorts were arrested by Nigerian security forces, which eyewitnesses described as men of the Rapid Response Squad.
Recall that earlier, Omoyele Sowore, convener of #RevolutionNow Protest, found himself in troubled waters when he was arrested by the Department of State Service (DSS) and subsequently detained for months before he was granted bail under stringent conditions.
