The time for Change has come with his in-depth intellectual focus, integrity, exposure and experience Nigeria would enormously experience a good and responsible leadership in all perspectives across six geographical zones.
Professor Prof. Sadiq Gombe, deeply respected public intellectual, formidably connected and articulated in Nigerian politics, besides his impeccable personality and academic records, composure and whose humility aligns with that of Sardaunan Bello the then premier of Northern region, Gombe’s passion and compassion earn him great respect which today makes SDP the fastest growing political party in African region.
He’s genuinely the constitutionally recognised national chairman of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Nigeria. He places integrity and responsible leadership above everything which are the hallmarks of democratic principles guidelines and development globally.
Professor Gombe, a highly distinguished respected global person, determined makes difference in the annals of our nation’s democratic history. SDP is the solution to Nigeria’s long awaited democratic freedom, and with Prince Adebayo Adewole as the presidential candidate of the party in 2027 national elections, Nigeria would experience unity, peace sustainability, economic transformation, rule of law, due process and becomes much more respectful country at the comity of Nations globally.
It was indeed a moment of pride, fulfilment, and deep political reflection watching my national chairman address the press with confidence, composure, and authority. What many failed to understand throughout this struggle was that leadership battles are not always won by noise, sentiments, or temporary alliances; they are won by strategy, patience, legitimacy, and an accurate reading of political realities.
A number of people lost faith along the way, not necessarily because they lacked intelligence or capacity, but because they failed to study the evolving dynamics of the matter and understand where the pendulum of justice, truth, and structure was tilting.
In every political contest, there comes a point where conviction is tested, loyalty is weighed, and true understanding is separated from emotional reaction. While some chose doubt, panic, and premature conclusions, Prof. Sadiq Gombe (@National SDP and those who believed in his leadership remained steadfast, calm, and focused on the bigger picture. Today, the outcome has once again proven that strategic patience and principled leadership will always prevail over confusion and political opportunism.
There is a lesson here for every serious political actor and observer: never abandon your convictions simply because the road becomes rough. Never jump from one camp to another because of temporary uncertainty. If you understand the handwriting on the wall, if you have studied the facts, and if you truly believe in a cause, then you must have the discipline to stay the course until the end.
Prof. Sadiq Gombe has shown uncommon resilience, maturity, and leadership throughout this period, and his victory is not merely personal — it is symbolic of perseverance, institutional stability, and the triumph of focused leadership over disorder.
Indeed, SDP has come to stay under the visionary and purposeful leadership of Prof. Sadiq Gombe. This victory belongs to every loyal party member who refused to be distracted, every committed stakeholder who stood by the truth, and every democrat who understands that genuine leadership is built on courage, consistency, and conviction.
The struggle has spoken. The result is clear. The future is bright.
