Trump says no ceasefire as Khamenei issues defiant message

US President Donald Trump says he does not “want to do a ceasefire” with Iran. “You know you don’t do a ceasefire when you’re literally obliterating the other side,” Trump tells reporters.

Trump calls NATO allies “cowards” over lack of support for his war on Iran, brands the Western military alliance “a paper tiger” without the US.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issues statement to mark Persian New Year, saying Iran has dealt “a dizzying blow” to its enemies and that US-Israeli attack on his country was a “gross miscalculation”.

Sri Lanka has denied a US request to land two fighter jets as Switzerland halts weapons exports to the US, citing its war on Iran.

US and Israeli attacks continued on Iran and Lebanon as millions of Muslims across the Middle East celebrated Eid al-Fitr, and Iran marked the new year festival of Nowruz.
