Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto has on Thursday reaffirmed the commitment of his government to keep supporting all security agents serving in the state.
Receiving in audience the Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Sokoto State Command, alongside the newly deployed heads of security agencies in the state.
Earlier, the Commandant Alfadarai introduced the recently posted heads of security agencies, including the 8 Division Garrison Commander, the heads of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigerian Immigration Service, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Defence Intelligence Agency in Sokoto State.
The NSCDC State Commandant, Commandant Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, in his remarks expressed appreciation for the warm reception he has received since his arrival. He outlined key areas where he planed to focus his efforts to boost security and support the Sokoto State Government in achieving sustainable peace and development.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Muhammad Zayyanu, Commandant Alfadarai commended the governor for his smart nine points agenda especially in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, and noted that the Corps, through its “Safe School Initiative and Agro Rangers Program, is strategically positioned to strengthen security in schools and rural communities, which aligns with the administration’s vision for progress.
