365Daily – The Senate has moved the appearance of service chiefs to brief lawmakers on worsening insecurity in the country to next Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
It explained that this is to enable all national security management personnel to be in attendance.

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio while ruling on the adjournment which was sequel to a motion moved by the leader of the Senate, Opeyemi Bamidele and seconded by the minority leader of Senate, Abba Moro to adjourn the security briefing by the service chiefs, noted that the Senate would like a holistic deliberation on insecurity.
He thereafter directed the clerk of the Senate to expand the invitees list to cover; All Service Chiefs, National Security Adviser, Finance Minister, Interior Minister, Defence Minister, Minster of State for Defence and the Minister of Police Affairs.
365Daily recalls that the Senate on January 30, 2024, summoned the service chiefs over the spate of insecurity in the country.
Already present for the briefing before the adjournment were Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa; Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-General Taoreed Lagbaja; Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, and Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla.
