365Daily – All is not well in the Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the state Coordinator of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Committee, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani, has resigned from the council.
The Senator was the 2023 gubernatorial flagbearer of the Party for Adamawa State till her election was annulled by a court.
Former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, who was defeated by the Senator in the governorship primaries, had approached the courts to nullify her victory, citing election irregularities.
In a public announcement, Binani said she was stepping down pending the outcome of an Appeal Court on the matter.
She urged the PCC to appoint an interim coordinator pending the judgement of the Court.
It was gathered thay Binani, who currently represents Adamawa Central, stepped down because of some party members’ attack on critical stakeholders.
This includes the recent personal attacks by some party members on former Governor of the State, Murtala Nyako.
