Sen. Abdulfatai Buhari (APC-Oyo North) has urged Christians to use the Christmas celebration to pray fervently for peace and unity in Nigeria.
Buhari, in his Christmas message, also appealed to Nigerians to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols in order to stem the wave of the pandemic during the Yuletide.
He advised that people should celebrate during the festive season with utmost moderation.
Buhari, also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Land Transport, urged them to show outstanding love to their fellow human beings, irrespective of their differences.
According to him, the birth of Jesus Christ reveals He is a special being and the memorable sacrifice made by Him for others to live a sinless life is worthy of emulation.
Also, the Governing Council and management of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora, rejoiced with Christians in the institution for the opportunity of witnessing another Christmas celebration.
The institution’s message was signed by Prof. Lateef Sanni, the council Chairman and Mr Isiaka Adekunle, the Acting Rector.
They called on Christians to love one another and embrace peace as part of the lessons of Christmas.
Danni and Adekunle appealed to Christians to be steadfast in their prayers for the nation.
