Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal have congratulated Ademola Adeleke on his re-election as Governor of Osun State.
In separate messages, the three political leaders described Adeleke’s victory as a reflection of the will of Osun voters, while commending residents for their participation in the electoral process.
Atiku said the election outcome represented the choice of the people, praising Osun voters for turning out to exercise their democratic rights and conducting themselves peacefully.
He said Adeleke’s victory “demonstrates the choice of the people of Osun as expressed at the ballot box.”
Makinde, in his congratulatory message, expressed delight over Adeleke’s return to office, describing the governor as his brother and acknowledging the challenges that surrounded the election.
“We are delighted that the will of the good people of Osun State prevailed in the end,” Makinde said.
Similarly, Tambuwal described the outcome as a victory for democracy and the people of Osun, noting that elections provide citizens with the opportunity to choose their leaders.
According to him, “The ballot remains the most powerful expression of the will of the people in a democracy.”
He urged Adeleke to approach his renewed mandate with greater responsibility and ensure that his administration serves all residents of the state, regardless of their political affiliations.
