FCT Police, Army Garrison reaffirm commitment towards enhancing security

CP Sanusi assured the Army Garrison of the FCT Command’s full support and cooperation in efforts to sustain security across the Federal Capital Territory

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command and the Army Headquarters Garrison have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration towards enhancing security in Abuja.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, disclosed this in a press release signed on Thursday in Abuja.

According to her, the commitment was made on Thursday when the Commander, Army Headquarters Garrison, Major General JR Lar, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, at the command headquarters in Abuja.

During the visit, Major General Lar acknowledged the existing synergy between the FCT Police Command and the Army Garrison, while calling for sustained cooperation in intelligence sharing, joint operations and the promotion of camaraderie among personnel of both formations.

He stressed the importance of continued collaboration between the two security formations in addressing security challenges and ensuring the safety of residents of the nation’s capital.

Responding, CP Sanusi assured the Army Garrison of the FCT Command’s full support and cooperation in efforts to sustain security across the Federal Capital Territory.

The Commissioner further reaffirmed the police command’s commitment to strengthening the existing partnership and fostering greater synergy between the two formations in the discharge of their respective responsibilities.

The meeting ended with an exchange of goodwill and contact details, as well as a group photograph by officers from both formations.
