365Daily – Residents of Dunukofia Local Government Area have commended Anambra Central Senatorial District senator, Victor Umeh, for attracting farmers, community leaders and party stakeholders to their community through his Agricultural Input Empowerment Programme.
The event, held at Immanuel Anglican Church, Ukwulu, forms part of the senator’s tour of local government areas across Anambra Central.
It is aimed at supporting farmers ahead of the 2026 farming season and promoting increased agricultural productivity in the area.
Senator Umeh, accompanied by his wife, Lady Prisca Umeh, alongside officials and leaders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), was warmly received by party stakeholders and residents who gathered to participate in the programme.

Addressing attendees, the lawmaker expressed appreciation for the continued support he has received from the people of Dunukofia and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering projects and opportunities that improve the welfare of constituents across Anambra Central.
He highlighted several interventions undertaken in the area, including scholarship awards for students, employment opportunities for qualified indigenes and community development initiatives facilitated through his office.
The senator stressed the importance of agriculture in addressing food insecurity and improving livelihoods, urging beneficiaries to make effective use of the farming inputs distributed to them.
According to him, increased agricultural production remains critical to tackling hunger and reducing economic challenges facing many households.
Umeh also called on residents to remain engaged in the political process and continue supporting leaders and policies they believe can drive national development and economic recovery.
Speaking on behalf of the community, stakeholders commended the senator for extending the empowerment programme to Dunukofia and acknowledged the impact of his various constituency projects and educational support schemes.
The beneficiaries pledged to utilise the agricultural inputs productively and assured the senator of their continued cooperation and support.
