The Jigawa State Government has inaugurated a 22-member Fact-Finding Committee focused on the deployment of security personnel in schools, courts, and health facilities across the state.
Inaugurating the Committee, the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Bala Ibrahim, emphasized that the committee is not for fault-finding, but its purpose is to ensure that the objectives of engaging security service providers for educational and health institutions are being met.
He said the committee’s terms of reference include: “Reviewing the recruitment process of security personnel, examining employment lists across towns to verify the local origin of beneficiaries. Others are establishing and verifying the commencement dates of allowance payments, identifying personnel who have not received allowances and determining the months owed and providing relevant recommendations to the government”.
The committee chairman who is also the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engineer Gambo Malam, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and assured diligence in their work.
