The Kebbi State chapter of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has called on the top management of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, KEDCO, to desist forthwith their plan to sack a substantial number of their workers who have served the company diligently for many years ago.

The Union in a statement signed by the state chapter chairman, Comrade Murtala Usman said that the organised labour will not fold its hands to allow the inhuman, ill-fated, and unwarranted mass sack of innocent workers who had experience in long years of service.

He urged the top management of the company to fight corruption in their system and not resort to unlawful mass sack of hardworking staff.

While appealing to Governor Nasir Idris to come to the aid of the workers pencilled down for retrenchment, he said the union will explore other means including mass action to stop the inappropriate act.
