365Daily – Dangote Refinery has again reduced the loading cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, from N950 to N890 per litre.

This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday nighy, February 1, 2025, by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina.

The price change is with immediate effect.

Chiejina explained that the price adjustment aligns with improving trends in the global energy and gas markets, alongside a recent decline in international crude oil prices.

The statement reads in part:

“Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) from N950 to N890 per litre, effective Saturday, 1st February 2025.

“This strategic adjustment is a direct response to the positive outlook within the global energy and gas markets, as well as the recent reduction in international crude oil prices.

“As part of Dangote Refinery’s commitment to transparency and fairness, this price revision reflects ongoing fluctuations in global crude oil markets. It follows the refinery’s January 19 announcement of a modest price increase, which was necessitated by previous rises in international crude oil prices.”
