Edo State Governorship Primary Election has not been completed, and has now fixed Thursday February 22, 2024 for the completion of the Primary Election Process

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has declared the last week’s primary election in Edo inconclusive, saying the process will continue on Thursday, February 22 for completion.
In a release issued by the National Publicity Secretary of APC, Felix Morka, the party said it has received report of the controversial primary election, which has produced different individuals as candidate, and has taken the decision to declare the process inconclusive.
“At its emergency meeting held today, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, to consider the report on the Edo State Governorship Primary Election, the National Working Committee (NWC) deliberated on the report and resolved that the Edo State Governorship Primary Election has not been completed, and has now fixed Thursday February 22, 2024 for the completion of the Primary Election Process”, the release said.
Recall that while Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo and chairman of the governorship primary election, declared a House of Representatives member, Dennis Idahosa, as the winner of the exercise, the local government returning officers declared Sunday Dekeri as the flag bearer.
