365Daily – An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Cairo Ojougboh, the Akinuwa of Agbor Kingdom, is dead.
He reportedly slumped while watching the live Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) match between Nigeria and South Africa yesterday, Wednesday, February 7, 2024 and later passed on.
The politician was reported to have screamed and collapsed when the South African team scored against Nigeria after a penalty was awarded during the match.
“As soon as the South African team scored against Nigeria, Dr. Ojougboh was reported to have screamed, and then collapsed,” a family member was quoted as saying.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles went on to win the match through penalties to qualify for the finals scheduled for February 11, 2024.
