Middle Belt Journalists urge Gen Musa to remain focused; mourn Kaduna victims

The Forum of Middle Belt Journalists wish to state her resolve to firmly stand behind the Nigeria Armed Forces under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Gwam Musa

A regional professional group, Forum of Middle Belt Journalists, has called on the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwam Musa, not to be distracted by the some people who are making various insinuation over the unfortunate bombing at Tudun Biri village in Agabi local government area of Kaduna State by some soldiers, during operation.

In a statement co-signed by the president of the group, Mr. Jonathan Ipaa and the secretary, Mrs. Oikeke Igado-Kure, while mourning with the Kaduna State citizens and particularly the affected community over the death of about 80 people, said the incidence should not serve as source of discouragement to the fight against insecurity, which the Chief of Defence Staff is already winning.

According to them, “The Forum of Middle Belt Journalists wish to state her resolve to firmly stand behind the Nigeria Armed Forces under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Gwam Musa.

“We understand with regret the incidence of the Tudun Biri, Kaduna State where about eighty people lost their lives due to a military operational accident.

“We console with the families of the affected and mourn with people of Kaduna state.

We also commend the prompt visit to the community by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taroed Lagbaja”.

The Forum of Middle Belt Journalists said, going forward, the Forum urge the military top command not to be deterred in her resolved to end the war against insurgency by armed bandits and Boko Haram whose activities have caused untold economic hardship and general insecurity to the citizens.

“We have noticed a huge success in hot chase and wiping of the terrorists by the Nigeria military. We commend the untiring efforts of the number one soldier, Gen Musa in this regard and urge him to watch out for those that would want to dent his image with misinformation report”.
