Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu appoints Dr. Nwohu, Inter-Party Affairs adviser

365Daily – Dr. Jerry Nwohu, a scholar with specialization in peace building, security, and strategic studies, has been appointed as Special Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs, to Rt. Hon Benjamin Kalu, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives.

Nwohu, a well-connected political strategist with impressive contacts and network within the political, social and economic circles in Nigeria, comes with a wealth of experience that would add value to the office of the deputy speaker.

He is also a widely-travelled personality who has an exceptional relationship with a broad section of society across race, ethnicity, gender, creed, and social status.

His robust experience which includes stints at private, corporate, and governmental levels, establishes him as a veritable  rallying point for both grassroots constituents and the political class.

Dr. Nwohu holds a master’s degree in International Relations and World Order from the University of Leicester, UK. He also has certification on Policy Analysis at London School of Economics (LSE) and did courses on Cyber security in Harvard University, and other degrees in criminology and security studies; and Peace and strategic studies.

His Ph.D (in view, September 2023 External Defence) is on Security and Strategic Studies, at Nasarawa State University, Keffi,  with bias on African Union Security Architecture and Conflict Management in South Sudan.

He is a fellow of the following institutes: Member, Board of Criminologists, Without Borders Development Initiatives (Platform for prevention of crimes in the society); Chartered Fellow, Association of Nigeria Business Administrators;

Member, Criminology and Security Association of Nigeria; Fellow, Nigeria Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management; Member, Nigeria Institute of National Intelligence Studies; Fellow, Institute of Financial Analysts of Nigeria (CIFAN); Fellow, School of international Economic Relations and Travel Business of V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine, among others.
