BREAKING: Edo Deputy Gov. Asks Court To Restrain Obaseki from ‘Impeaching’ Him

365Daily – Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, has urged a Federal High Court in Abuja to grant an order seeking protection from possible impeachment and removal from office by his principal, Governor Godwin Obaseki.

This signals the beginning of hostilities between Shuaib and his principal as preparation for the off season Edo governorship election scheduled to hold in 2024 goes into motion.

The rekindling of alliance between former Governor Adams Oshiomhole of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who is currently representing Edo North has been of grave concern for the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Shaibu has been allegedly attending meetings with Oshiomhole, who is also former APC chairman’s camp, as well asAPC meetings as well, thereby creating distrust between him and his PDP associates.
