President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, on his 70th birth anniversary.
In a congratulatory message by his spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina, on Saturday in Abuja, Buhari commended Ahmed for dedicating his entire career to the service of the nation.
The president also rejoiced with family members, friends and associates of the former Minister of Defence and Head of Service.
He lauded him for consistently working for the uplift of Nigeria, particularly initiating remarkable reforms and re-organisations whereever he served.
The president noted the worthy contributions of the renowned public administrator in every national assignment, including special duties, serving in committees, boards and foundations, and always leaving an aftertaste of excellence and lasting legacy for future leaders.
Buhari prayed for Ahmed’s good health, strength and wisdom to keep serving the country and humanity. (NAN)
