We’ll make sure voice of the youths count in national affairs

365Daily  –  A civil society organization, National Association of Nigerian Comrades, NANC, has said it will make sure the voice of the youth counts in the affairs of Nigeria, because they will no longer continue to be identified as leaders of tomorrow without taking part in decision-making process of today.

The new chairman of the group, Comrade Ogbonnaya Chinwendu Emmanuel, stated this at a press conference held in Abuja, on Saturday, April 2, 2022, where they also condemned the wanton loss of lives going on across the country.

According to the chairman, “This administration will continue to make sure that the voice of the youth counts in the affairs of this nation, as calling us the youth of tomorrow is not by words of mouth alone but must be replicated in actions both from we comrades (youths) and to the authorities of this nation.

“Going forward, fellow comrades, we stand to condemn vehemently the incessant killings and wasting of innocent precious lives going on across different state of the federation especial the recent train attack. We there call on the Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and members of armed forces to step up action in ensuring the security of lives and properties of the citizens of our country”.

Comrade Emmanuel said NANC is still on its building state, while soliciting for supports in all ramifications, from governments on all cadre, private sectors, local and foreign NGOs and individuals, to enable them remain steadfast.

The chairman further revealed that National Association of Nigeria Comrades is a child of necessity, with enormous potentials. He said, “Just a little flashback of the convention that gave birth to what we are celebrating today, Kogi convention held on 27th November 2021, was a massive one, where comrades from all parts of our country decided to ask me to lead the association through the ballot box, and today, officially, we are kicking off in this manner, thus indeed, NANC is a child of necessity”.

Comrade Ogbonnaya Chinwendu Emmanuel promised that having officially assumed office, he, alongside his officials will work assiduously to orient the youths and the teaming populace that Nigeria belongs to all of them, and as such none should seat on the fence and think that the nation will build itself. “We are gifted with different talents and tactics, this is the time to harness these talents”.

“Following the mission and vision of this noble association which are but not limited to, uniting  all activists in Nigeria  towards a common cause, for we believe that with proper leadership, truthful discipline and right defence of democracy we can fight in one accord.

“As a child of necessity on a mission to bring together all activists, social crusaders, progressives and liberals for a united struggle of the total liberation of Nigerians and Nigeria states, we believe that only through solidarity can this historic battle be surmounted.

“We are unreservedly devoted to truth, accountability, justice for democracy in Nigeria. For us, tribe and religion are inconsequential, we fight in defense of our conscience and posterity. We will never submit to tyranny or oppression, fear and persecution in the course of this struggle.

“As a mantra for comrades, we shall continually embarks on youth empowerment initiatives, through effective partnership with sister associations, NGOs via award of scholarships, job placements, entrepreneurial initiative and skills acquisitions”, he stated.
