365Daily – The Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District in the Senate, Stella Oduah, has reached out to the Anambra State widow that was seen being dehumanized in a viral video over alleged complicity in her late husband’s death.
The widow, Mrs Ajuese Obiorah, was seen being paraded round their community naked by some women in her village in Aguleri, Anambra State.
Senator Oduah, who had earlier issued a statement to condemn the the barbaric act, disclosed that she paid a visit to the woman to condole her and also find out her current wellbeing.
According to the Senator, “No woman deserves to be treated as you were treated..”
At the suprise visit to the widow in her Aguleri home, Senator Oduah condoled with the woman over the death of her husband and also expressed shock and disappointment over the treatment metted out to her by some elements in the community.
She further promised to ensure that she got the best of quality education and training in order for her to actualise her full potentials.
The Senator further then empowered her with the sum of one million naira and also assured that she will ensure that all those involved in her unfortunate incident would be brought to book.
According to the Senator, “Such actions are inhuman and should not be tolerated in the society. I will see to your health, welfare and education and I’ll see that your children are well taken care of.”
