365Daily -Six Imo lawmakers on Monday morning, November 8, 2021, impeached the Speaker of the State Assembly, Hon. Paul Emeziem.
Emeziem was replaced with Hon. Kennedy Ibe.
The state Legislators was carried out the impeachment were accompanied by some security personnel. They were led by the impeached Deputy Speaker, Amara Iwuanyanwu.
According to them, 19 of the 27 lawmakers supported the impeachment process.
Iwuanyanwu was, on November 3, impeached following a resolution of the House at plenary in Owerri.
No reason was given for his impeachment which was announced by the then Speaker, Emeziem.
