100 Days: PDP Chieftain lauds Rivers LGC boss, says performance superlative

365Daily  –  A Peoples Democratic Party,  PDP, stalwart in Rivers State, Sokari Iyo, on Monday, lauded the Chairman of Okrika Local Government Area, Chief Akuro Tobin, for “extraordinary performance in his first 100 days in office.”

Iyo, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt, described the chairman as a focused administrator who is ready to serve the people of Okrika LGA, stating that he has replicated the administrative prowess of former council boss, Chief Ibibia Walter and the project drive of Gov. Nyesom Wike, by carrying out mind blowing projects in all sectors of the local government.

He said, “I congratulate the Chairman of Okrika Local Government Area, Chief Hon. Akuro Tobin, on the completion of his first one hundred days in office.

“I am indeed elated with the projects the chairman has carried out within this short period which has transformed the local government.

“The projects which the chairman has embarked on includes but are not limited to the completion of the Okrika Legislative Assembly building, building of the Okrika Local Government health office, Installation of electric poles in the communities, remodeling of the council multipurpose hall and chairman’s office.

“The chairman has also improved on security by building a befitting security post, a quality fencing structure around the council and other administrative building projects which are still ongoing.

“Hon. Akuro Tobin by his performance has proven that he is ready to serve the people of Okrika.”

Iyo, who is a former supervisor for Agriculture and Natural Resources, in the local government council, said that the chairman has also embarked on stomach infrastructure and human empowerment programmes, as well as fostering unity between government recognized monarchs in the area.

He urged the chairman to continue in the good path which he has started, noting that his administration will be remembered in the local government area for good.

He further called on the people of Okrika Local Government, to continue to stand firm with the Tobin led administration.
