Bandits abduct over 100 students in Zamfara Governor’s hometown

365Daily –  Bandits have reportedly abducted over 100 students when they stormed Government Day Secondary School, Kaya, in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State, which is the home town of the incumbent Governor, Bello Matawalle.

Sources disclosed that the bandits in their numbers arrived the school at about 11:00a.m on Wednesday when the school was in session.

The precise number of the kidnapped students is yet to be ascertained, but it is said to be over 100.

“We are yet to identify the actual number of students abducted, but we believe that they would reach 100,” a source said.

The state and police authorities are yet to comment on the situation, and all attempts to reach the state police spokesperson has not been successful.
