SSANU lauds Gov. Tambuwal for paying allowances

The Chairman, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Sokoto State University chapter, Mr Abdullahi Maigandi, has commended Governor Aminu Tambuwal for approving payment of earned allowances for its members.
Maigandi made the commendation in his address during the association’s special congress meeting on Thursday, July 29, 2021, in Sokoto.
He said the approved entitlements included hazard, excess workload and responsibility allowances.
The Chairman described the gesture as a motivation for greater service, stressing that it was the first in the history of the Sokoto State University.
He urged the members to reciprocate the kind gesture by complementing the efforts of Tambuwal toward educational development in  the state.
Maigandi further applauded the willingness of  the Governor to always give required attention to issues of public importance.
He urged him to maintain the tempo, while admonishing members to exercise patience as approval had been presented to the State Ministry of Finance for onward payment.
The SSANU Chairman similarly appreciated the effort of the Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Bashir Garba, who had been working hard for the success of the union and the state in general.
He also noted that the union enjoyed cordial working relationship with the university management under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sani Dangoggo.
