Senator Andy Nnamdi Uba has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) Anambra governorship primary election after defeating 13 other aspirants.
The Chairman of the APC primary election panel and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, declared him winner in the early hours of Sunday, June 27, 2021, at the end of the poll which held at Golden Tulip Hotel, Agulu Lake.
He garnered 230,201 votes, with his closest rival, Johnbosco Onunkwo, polling a total of 28,746 votes.
The total vote cast in the open ballot, also known as Option A4, was 348, 490.
