365Daily -The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on Monday, June 7, 2021, came alive when one of the aspirants for the party’s ticket in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election, slated for November 6, submitted his nomination and declaration of interest forms.
His supporters; men and women, both within Abuja and Anambra, thronged the venue in their uniform bearing the picture of the aspirant and the party logo in solidarity with their Governorship hopeful.
After the submission of his form, Nwankwo told his supporters that they would proceed to a church for prayer, because it was God that originated his governorship bid, and so, they will have to commit every step into His hand.
Speaking at the APC secretariat, the state Chairman of Kingdom Care Foundation (KCF), a non governmental organisation founded by the APC aspirant, Rev. Dr. Stephen Ogbu, said he was optimistic that his principal stood the best chance to emerge the next Governor of Anambra.
He said he came all the way from Anambra Stateto Abuja because to show the love and support he has for Nwankwo.
Rev. Ogbu said with the passion Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo has shown in taking good care of widows, orphans and other vulnerable people for over 30 years, the people of the state have no better option but to vote for him if they really want a new Anambra.
Another supporter, Engineer Anselm Ugo Ezeugo, from Anaocha Local Government Area of the state, who is an executive of the Elders Forum of the Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo’s campaign organisation, expressed confidence that Nwankwo would guarantee the victory of APC in Anambra.
He described Nwankwo as someone who has performed creditably in both business and other spheres of life, and called on the party to give him its ticket in order to make the state better.
Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo is the Chief Executive Officer of Wichtech Group, and has thrown his hat into the ring to slog it out with notable Anambrarians to wrestle power from the incumbent All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) that has been in the saddle for about 16 years.
