2023: Ebonyi Muslim group tips Umahi for president

365Daily – Ebonyi State Muslim Forum has urged Governor David Umahi to make himself available for National service by joining in 2023 race for president of Nigeria.

The group made this demand when it paid the Governor a courtesy call at the old Executive Chambers, Government House, Abakaliki, on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr celebration.

Leader of the group, Alhaji Abbas Egwu, also used the occasion to pass a vote of confidence on Umahi.

Abbas stated that the group has resolved to provide security reports to the Governor at any time there is a threat as support for his good governance in the state.

In his remarks, he said:”We shall stop anyone or group of people who in any form attempt to undermine the security of the state or destroy the infrastructure put in place by our governor.

‘We appreciate His Excellency’s dynamism and foresightedness in leadership, hence, his party (APC) is our platform and his enemy, we shall abhore.

“We plead with His Excellency, Engr. David Umahi Nweze Umahi, to make himself available for national service in 2023, in shaa-Allah.”

Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy governor of Ebonyi State, Dr. Kelechi Igwe, who represented Governor David Umahi, assured the Muslim community in the state of their safety.
