365Daily – Former Women Affairs Minister, Aisha Al-Hassan, popularly known as Mama Taraba, is dead.
Details about her death is sketchy but she reportedly died in Egypt on Friday, May 7, 2021.
The former aspirant for the Taraba State Governor seat was 61.
Al-Hassan contested the governorship election in Taraba on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015 but lost out, and was later appointed minister by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The ex-Lawmaker also ran for the office in 2019.
She represented Taraba North in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from Taraba North Senatorial District.
