365Daily – One of the leading contenders for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Andy Uba, has appointed Mr. Paul Chukwuma, the former Zonal Youth Leader (South East) and National Auditor of the APC, as his campaign Director-General for the 2021 governorship election holding on November 6.
Arc. Okelo Madukaife, Anambra State Public Secretary of APC, revealed this in a notification letter issued on Friday, April 16, 2021, in Awka, the state capital, which was made available to 365Daily.
The notice reads: “His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Andy Uba, two-term senator and aspirant to governorship position on the platform of APC has notified our great party of the appointment of Mr. Paul Chukwuma as Director-General of his gubernatorial campaign.
“Sen. Uba stated this in a letter dated and personally signed by him.
“In his words : ‘This letter is to formally inform you of the appointment of a foundation member of our great party, who has served in various positions including (South East) Zonal Youth Leader and National Auditor as Director-General of my campaign’.
“Sen Uba requested Local Government, Senatorial District and State officers of the party to extend their cooperation to the new DG, and ‘refer all questions relating to the directive’ to him.
“A University of Nigeria graduate of Computer Science, Chukwuma, proprietor of Olivia Montage Hotels, Awka, is a consultant and businessman, who before the tripartite merger that produced APC, was at some point a national officer in the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP)”.
