Uba condemns killing of police, naval officers in Anambra, promises better security

A frontline guber aspirant in Anambra State, Senator Andy Uba has condemned the recent killing of police officers and naval ratings in Anambra, describing the killings as worrisome and condemnable.

The killings occurred on Thursday 18, 2021, with the police officers killed at Neni, Anaocha Local Givernment Area, whereas the naval officers were murdered at Awkuzu in Oyi LGA.

Senator Uba made this statement known in a press release via his media office.

“While our principal, Senator Andy Uba commiserates with the families of the officers who lost their lives while in service to the nation and the communities where they were senselessly killed, he is also like every citizen of the country worried about the consequences of such unwarranted violence which could impact negatively on the state and its people who go about doing their legitimate business in the state.

According to Uba, these killings create a culture of fear and all just men and women must rise up not only to condemn such killings but also to ensure that such hoodlums are ferreted out and punished. “

The statement also promised that security would be a cardinal focus of his administration, God’s willing, should he emerge as Governor of Anambra State come November 6th, 2021.

“Our principal is also going to bring to Anambra a security roadmap that will avail Ndi Anambra real security, one that will attract businesses to the people and allow our citizens to sleep with their two eyes closed”.
