Beyonce ‘thanks’ Meghan Markle for her ‘courage’ as mum Tina blasts Piers Morgan in scathing post

Beyonce has heaped praise on Meghan Markle for speaking out against the Royal family in her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Fans had wondered if the Brown Skin Girl singer would defend the Duchess of Sussex in the fallout of the explosive interview, which saw Meghan accuse the Royal family of making a racist comment about her son Archie.

Well, they got their answer on Wednesday, March 10,  when Beyonce, 39, posted a photo of her and Meghan, also 39, meeting at The Lion King premiere in 2019, alongside the caption: ‘Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership.  ‘We are all strengthened and inspire by you.’

Beyonce and her husband Jay Z have always been outspoken supporters of Meghan and Prince Harry.  During their appearance at the Brit Awards in 2019, the musicians delivered their acceptance speech in front of a portrait of Meghan casually on the wall behind them.  A few months later, they met seemingly for the first time at Disney’s The Lion King premiere in London.

After sharing warm hugs, their conversation was caught on camera with Beyonce saying ‘it’s nice to meet you’ as the Duchess embraced Jay, who said ‘congrats’ to Meghan on the birth of Archie.  ‘It’s so beautiful,’ Beyonce was heard replying as Meghan energetically spoke to the famous pair.

According to the Daily Mail’s royal correspondent, Rebecca English, who captured the spirited moment the two couples met, Harry asked: ‘And how are the twins?’  Beyoncé was reported to have replied: ‘They are not here. They don’t come on every trip. We left them at home. They would have loved to have been here.’  Jay then offered advice for the Royal couple who had just become first-time parents, stating: ‘The best advice I can give you, always find time for yourself.’

Beyonce’s support of Meghan comes hours after her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, slammed Piers Morgan for storming off Good Morning Britain after clashing with Alex Beresford.
