Gunmen suspected to be assassins have murdered Chief Dr Terkula Suswam, the immediate older brother of Senator Gabriel Suswan, who represents Benue North-East Senatorial District, at the National Assembly, alongside his aide.
365Daily learnt that the incident occurred at his country home in Anyiin, Logo Local Government area of the State, 0n at about 8pm on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
It was gathered that the killers arrived the deceased’s residence in a Toyota Corolla car, parked it in front of his residence, walked to where he was seated and shot him to death.
According to sources, the killers, having completed their mission, walked back into their vehicle and drove off without any apprehension.
It was gathered that security officials arrived the scene of the incident after the gunmen had gone and conveyed the lifeless body of the senior Suswam to the mortuary.
The late Suswam, renowned for his philanthropy, started out as a political activist and became the State Vice Chairman of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC) during the aborted Third Republic transition politics but later retired from politics to settle for business, academics and community service.
He was 58 years old and is survived by his wife, many children and siblings, including his immediate younger brother, Senator Gabriel Suswam, who is the immediate past Governor of the state.
