President of the Senate, Dr. Ahmed Lawan, on Tuesday rebuked one of his legislative aides for not wearing a face-mask within the premises of the National Assembly.

Lawan, who was making an entrance into the Complex ahead of plenary, spotted the aide – names withheld – standing at the lobby without a face-mask.

He stopped and queried, “Where is your face-mask?”

The legislative aide, rattled by the unexpected question, mumbled, “It’s in my pocket, Sir,” while making efforts to retrieve it from his trousers.

Lawan then waited till he put the mask on before proceeding to his office at the White House Wing of the Complex to have a leadership meeting before the resumption of plenary.

President Buhari recently signed an executive order mandating all Nigerians to wear facemasks in public and observance of other COVID-19 protocols as a means of curbing rising infections from the second wave of the virus.
