…as Reps adjourn plenary in honour of late colleague

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has expressed sadness over the loss of Hon. Ossy Prestige (Aba North/Aba South, APGA, Abia State), who passed on on Monday, February 8, 2021.

This is just as the House suspended plenary activities in honour of the late lawmaker till tomorrow, February 10.

In his tribute, the Speaker said Hon. Prestige was ”a dogged, reliable and dependable colleague who was committed to the business of legislature till the very end.”

He announced that there would be a proper valedictory session in honour of late Ossy Prestige in the nearest future.

A minute silence was observed in his honour.

Meanwhile, the Speaker earlier welcomed members back from the end of year recess and announced that new COVID-19 measures and protocols for the safety of Nigerians within the National Assembly against the new strain of the virus would be made on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021.
