The Management of the College of Health Science and Technology said it is working towards the upgrade of its structures and academic standards to reflect the present status in line with the provisions of the enabling laws.
The Sole Administrator of the College Alhaji Sulaiman Mohammed made the disclosure in an interactive session with newsmen in his office, last week, on the activities of the college.
He stated that efforts were made since the last administration of Governor Umaru Almakura to upgrade the status of the school to a college adding that in the process all the enabling laws were duly passed by the state’s House of Assembly.
According to him, with the upgrade of both its structures and academic activities reasonable results were now being recorded as the college now records over 94 per cent as against 40 per cent.
On the issue of staff placement, the Sole Administrator explained that every staff is being placed in the appropriate position he or she deserves.
He debunked the rumour making the rounds that during his absence for medical vacation, the college was shut down, saying at no time was the college shut down.
