Days of liberation close, Zulum tells residents of attacked villages

Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, has assured communities in Hawul Local Government Area of the state that they will see the end of attacks by Boko Haram in the future.

He added that the government was doing all within its powers to provide security and ensure the  welfare for the citizens is properly taken of.

Zulum gave the assurance when he paid an inspection visit to communities attacked by the terrorists over the weekend.

Yimirshika, Azare, Sabon-Kasuwa and Shafa communities were among those visited by the Governor who directed an immediate reconstruction of properties affected, including a police station and market stalls.

Three persons were killed in Shafa; two hunters and a civilian, in addition to theft of thousands of bags of farm produce recently harvested by the farmers.

Furthermore, he announced that six patrol vehicles and other security components would be delivered  to strengthen local security network in Shafa, and for hunters and vigilantes in Yimirshika, surveillance vehicles would be provided.
