There is palpable tension among residents of Arepo, Magboro, and other neighbouring communities due to a gas pipeline leakage along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
According to the Punch Newspaper, the leak was still ongoing as at the time of filing this report.
The gas pipeline was reported to have ruptured during construction works on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday.
The paper also quoted a resident of Forthright Gardens Estate, Omobolaji, as saying a loud sound was heard around 9:30 a.m on Wednesday.
According to him, the pipeline eruption caused panic as many residents of the estate rushed out of their apartments.
The paper also disclosed that emergency responders had been contacted.
