US Election: TB Joshua urges Trump to accept defeat

By Gabriel Atumeyi

The founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B Joshua, has advised President Donald Trump to concede defeat in the just concluded United States’ presidential election.

He made this known while speaking to his congregation in a sermon on Saturday, November 14.

Prophet Joshua called on Trump to understand that in a democratic setting, elections are never about one candidate as the nation is bigger than even the president.

Without mentioning names, the Nigerian cleric said that whatever the case is eventually, losers of elections must accept the outcome and hope for the best in the future.

TB Joshua, later on his Twitter page, said, “Politics, campaigns and elections in any democratic country in the world are never about one person; it is about the country we care for and love.

“Whatever happens, we must accept the outcome and then look to the future – to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Don’t forget – democracy is all about accommodation. “All democrats must value the process of democracy more than the product.”

365Daily recalls that the prophet on Monday, November 2, made some predictions ahead of the imminent US presidential election. Although he did not make any prophecy on who will eventually win the poll, he, however, forecasted that Christians who were in full support of President Donald Trump will be disappointed in the end.

He further called on them to find succour in the newly appointed US Supreme Court Judge, Amy Coney Barrett, who was picked by Trump.

The cleric noted that Christians should be joyful over the fact that Barrett would be used as an instrument of check.
