The Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Ini Ememobong, has charged youths to earnestly seek to identify God’s gifts in their lives as a major step towards self actualisation and attainment.

Comrade Ememobong gave the charge yesterday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, at a conference organised by the Presbyterian Young People’s Association conference, which held at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN), Christ the king parish.

Speaking on the theme, “Shining in His Likeness”, he emphasised that God has a universal gift with different ministries and callings for all christians, such as the prayer ministry, the benevolence ministry, teaching ministry, song ministry, edification ministry and service to humanity ministry, adding that lack of understand of one’s ministry, leads to conflict and envy amongst brethren.

He explained that no two individuals were the same in their natural endowment and the ability to identify where one’s gift or strength lies are key factors that distinguish and stand out people in the different spheres of life, the religious fold inclusive.

Comrade Ememobong further emphasised that the identification of one’s mission in life is the singular most definitive purpose for which a person came to this earth while reiterating that one must be able to answer that question holistically in order to understand his/her role on earth.

He, therefore, called on christian youths to dig deep into their innate abilities and draw strength from there in order to do extraordinary exploits that would benefit them.

Speaking earlier while declaring the conference open, the Presbytery moderator, Rt. Rev. Mfon Umoren, admonished youths to always speak the truth and stand for what is right at all times adding that the christian youths should be committed to their academics and in their daily dealings with members of their communities as worthy ambassadors of Christ.

Other speakers at the conference included UPPYPAN president, Comr. Idaresit Inyang, UPPYPAN secretary, Comr. Kalu Torti , the chairman, Planning Committee, Comrade Diannabasi Ekpe, and the Secretary, Planning Committee, Comrade Nnamonso Essien.
