Reality TV personality Sheggz Olusemo has broken his silence on his relationship with Bella, saying he decided to address the matter publicly after years of maintaining his privacy out of respect for his family and personal values.
Sheggz explained that he had never been one to discuss private matters on the internet, but felt compelled to speak after spending four years building his life and reputation and becoming concerned that his name and character could be unfairly damaged.
Describing himself as a man who values family, friendship, integrity and faith, Sheggz said he was proud of the values he represents.
“I am not an abuser,” he said.
He also denied cheating on Bella, stating that he had been single since January 2026, when he said their relationship came to an end.
According to Sheggz, the breakup was particularly difficult because he genuinely loved Bella and had hoped they would eventually build a life together. He said he was also disappointed by aspects of how the situation was handled and felt there was not always the level of remorse or understanding he had expected.
He said the couple attempted to reconcile after their January 2026 breakup but eventually concluded that unresolved issues surrounding trust and respect made it difficult to consider marriage.
“We made attempts to reconcile afterwards but ultimately I came to the conclusion that there were issues of trust and respect that I could not overlook when considering marriage,” he said.
Sheggz said he had been serious about the relationship and genuinely wanted it to succeed, revealing that he had even bought a ring because he believed they could have a future together.
He, however, acknowledged that two people could love and care for each other deeply and still reach a point where they realise that the relationship is no longer right for them.
The reality star also disclosed that he went through a difficult period in 2025, spending considerable time in and out of hospital.
“I am genuinely grateful to be alive after everything I experienced,” he said.
He revealed that he underwent treatment and recovery in England before returning to Nigeria in October 2025.
Sheggz further said that during 2025, he became aware of information that made him question the level of honesty in the relationship.
According to him, he had provided several opportunities since 2024 for certain truths to be disclosed, but said those opportunities did not result in the outcome he expected.
Despite the difficulties surrounding the breakup, Sheggz said he had no intention of engaging in a public dispute or trading accusations with Bella.
“I simply want to move forward peacefully with dignity and respect for everyone involved,” he said.
He added that he understood Bella’s family might have their own perspective on the situation and said he respected their feelings.
“From my side, I know that I tried sincerely and repeatedly to make things work,” he said.
Sheggz wished Bella well and expressed hope that everyone involved would eventually move forward peacefully.
He concluded by reiterating his commitment to his personal values and clarifying his position on the allegations against him.
“I am a man who values family, friendship, integrity and my faith. I am a brother, a friend to many and most importantly, I know the values I stand for. I am not an abuser.
“For clarity, I did not cheat on Bella and I have been single since January 2026.”
