365Daily – The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of being responsible for the PDP’s internal disintegration, describing his remarks as a desperate attempt to shift blame.
Atiku, while speaking at the National Conference on Strengthening Democracy in Nigeria, alleged that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration was destabilising opposition parties by paying their leaders ₦50 million each.
In a press statement signed by APC National Publicity Secretary (NPS), Felix Morka, APC dismissed the claim as baseless and urged Atiku to focus on rebuilding the PDP instead of making unsubstantiated allegations.
The NPS criticised Atiku’s comments on judicial involvement in electoral disputes, calling them hypocritical. He argued that the judiciary plays a constitutional role in adjudicating disputes and that Atiku himself has frequently relied on the courts to advance his political career.
The party further accused him of failing to manage his party effectively and turning around to accuse the APC of complicity in the struggles of opposition parties
